Water Hyacinth

Water hyacinth is a floating plant with long underwater leaves and spongy above water leaves. It has flowers that stand vertically between 1 – 3 inches tall above the water. These flowers are whiteish purple and have two lips. Water hyacinth is a very aggressive invader and can form thick floating mats quickly.
