How to Apply Revive
Revive is easy to apply because it is packaged in water-soluble packets. Simply toss the recommended number of packets into the shallow areas of the pond and the packets will dissolve on its own to spread the bacteria throughout the water. One ten-pound pail of twenty Revive packets will usually last a whole season for a typical acre-sized pond.
Easy-to-Use
A treatment program is initiated with three (3) pounds (6 packets) of Revive per acre foot and is continued as required by local conditions*. Maintain with additions of one (1) pound (2 packets) per acre foot at two week intervals until water temperatures fall in the winter. For best results, water should be at least 60°F and have pH of 6.8 - 8.8.
Application
Calculate the volume of your pond in acre feet using this formula:
Length (ft.) x Width (ft.) x Average Depth (ft.)
43,560 ft.
• More frequent applications are recommended during periods of stress, such as heavy rainfall, drought, excessive heat or fertilizer run-off.
• The water-soluble packets (do not open) can be dropped into the water by hand. Even application is recommended.
• Attention must be paid to weather and other conditions*. If fertilizing fields or lawns, run-off into ponds will add nitrogen and phosphorous. Revive should be added to address the influx. Revive will not cause harm to fish and a system cannot be over treated.
Revive Application Methods
NOTE: Use dry hands or gloves when applying revive water-soluble packets.
Static water bodies (non-flowing)
Distribute the water-soluble packets evenly over water surface, making certain to also distribute packets around edges in shallow, warm water areas. (Just throw or drop the packets in. Do not open the packets).
Flowing water bodies
Apply the water-soluble packets predominately at point(s) of water entry.
Remember to calculate the dose based upon the entire water surface for water bodies with limited flow. Base the dose on the inflow water volume for other sites such as canals.
